Stop relying on weather forecasts set to 20km away. The Farmo Weather Station gives you a real-time, hyper-local look at the exact conditions in your paddocks. Monitor wind, rain, temperature, and humidity from your phone to make precision decisions on spraying, harvesting, and livestock safety.
General weather forecasts rarely account for the microclimates of a large property. The Farmo Weather Station is a professional, all-in-one sensor suite designed to give you the ground truth. It tracks rainfall (1mm increments), wind speed, wind direction, temperature, humidity, and Delta T in a single, rugged unit. Built for the Australian climate, this station requires no Wi-Fi, connecting via long-range NB-IoT/Cat-M1 cellular networks. With "Edge Processing" intelligence, the station monitors conditions every 10 minutes and transmits data to your Farmo App, ensuring you have the high-resolution data needed for professional farm management.

Installation is designed to be simple. The station comes as a pre-assembled suite that mounts directly to a standard pole or post in an open area. Once positioned and activated in the Farmo App, the internal sensors will begin logging data. The anemometer tracks wind, the tipping bucket measures rain, and the shielded internal sensors monitor the air. The device remains in a low-power state to conserve battery, waking up at 10-minute intervals to record data and transmit updates to your dashboard.
Warranty
Farmo devices are covered by a 12 month back-to-base warranty. After the standard warranty period expires we apply a pro-rata warranty up to 24 months.
Care & Maintenance
Power must be supplied at all times or rainfall is not recorded. Keep clean and clear of buildings, trees and objects that could disturb the weather data collection.
Don't risk chemical drift or wasted product. Check the live wind speed, direction, and Delta T at the exact site of application to ensure you are operating within legal and safe parameters.
Track temperature and humidity in real-time. Use accurate Delta T readings to determine the ideal conditions for harvesting or to identify high-risk fire weather before it becomes a danger.
View temperature, wind speed, and rainfall data to identify when livestock are at risk. Receive alerts during winter storms so you can move vulnerable stock to sheltered paddocks before losses occur.
Wind Speed (km/h) as required by the AgVic Spray Log at the start/end time of the spray event, is satisfied by the Wind Average (10 minutes) reported via the Weather Station on your Farmo App at these times.
View your weather data in a single, unified feed. Toggle between different weather stations on your property to see how conditions vary across the map.
Set your own "Weather Triggers." Get an instant SMS if wind speeds exceed 25km/h or if the temperature drops toward a frost risk, giving you the lead time needed to protect your assets.
Automatically build a permanent record of your property's climate. Use historical data to reconcile spray logs,or analyse seasonal performance.
The electric fence sensors and water rats have provided peace of mind knowing that the cattle are where they should be and with water in the troughs.
Great customer support when I experienced issues with fence sensors.
I had a real problem getting accurate and up to date rain data on our farm in far east Gippsland when I spend most of the time in Melbourne. The rain gauge through Farmo solved the problem and the support and backup with questions was great
We have been using Water Rats for a number of years to monitor outlying or problem troughs. This has proven to be very successful giving peace of mind that water is available for cattle at the specified locations. We have had no issues with the flexiblity, reliability of the Water Rat. It is also helpful that we are linked in via Agriwebb.
The "Water rat" is a simple unit that works well.
No installation. Easy to shift from one trough to the next.
Our unit stopped working, & Farmo promptly replaced it with a new unit, no hassles.
Great tank monitoring system
Having a level meter on our water tank has meant so much to us in the last 12 months. There’s a huge sense of security in being able to detect unusual level changes, both monitoring the activity of our solar pump and also, during the dry season, the demand on our storage tank. Definitely a really worthwhile investment. Thoroughly recommend this little device.
Farmo has been great to deal with—excellent customer service and a team that genuinely cares. Their technology is simple to use and maintain, making it perfect for agriculture. Reliable, well-designed products and great support. Highly recommend!
We had issues connecting with the WaterRat when we activated it but, working with customer service they quickly resolved the problem. The WaterRat was a cow life saver!! Our landowner, for some reason, shut the water off while we were away. The WaterRat alerted us when the tank was low and the device tipped on its side, with a stretch of 30+ weather it was worth its weight in gold!! Customer service is amazing!! I will be ordering more for all our pastures.
We use Farmo water rats in our troughs to keep an eye on the water levels . We can easily move them , as simple as taking them out and throwing them in the next trough as the cattle move paddocks . We can set alerts on our phones to let us know if a trough is empty . With tests they send the alert text within 10 seconds of tilting . They are very easy and cost effective.
Yes, as long as there’s mobile network coverage (Telstra by default) the device will work. Data is sent over the specialised long distance CatM1/Nb-IoT part of the 4G and 5G networks, so you will find coverage goes further than voice calls on handsets.
You can easily set custom "Weather Triggers" within the Farmo App for any variable, such as high wind speeds, frost-risk temperatures, or a specific amount of rainfall. Simply choose your threshold and select whether you and your team receive notifications via SMS, email, or both.
Like any precision instrument, a quick check-up is recommended regularly. Ensure the tipping bucket is clear of debris (leaves or spider webs).
The Farmo App allows you to compare your rainfall against official long-term rainfall average records in your area. The Farmo App will find the nearest official weather station based on your device's location, giving you a reliable benchmark to measure your data against long-term trends.
