The Farmo Bay Irrigation Sensor helps Australian farmers manage flood and bay irrigation with real-time water detection and alerts.

Designed for surface irrigation systems, the sensor detects when approximately 1 cm of water is present in the bay. Once water reaches the sensor, an alert is sent through the Farmo App, helping you know when irrigation has reached a target point without needing to physically check the bay.

The sensor uses Cat-M1 / NB-IoT mobile connectivity, so mobile coverage is required at the installation location. This makes it suitable for farms where reliable low-power mobile IoT coverage is available.

Email & SMS Notifications

The Farmo Bay Irrigation Sensor uses long-range NB-IoT/Cat-M1 connectivity to transmit data from remote locations where standard mobile signals are weak. Approx 1cm of water will trigger the alert, with adjustment possible by moving the sensor higher up the side panel.

Data Includes:

  • Water present / absent
  • Historical 7 and 30 day charts

Alerts

  • Water present / absent

Detect water arrival in flood irrigation bays and receive real-time alerts through the Farmo App. The Farmo Bay Irrigation Sensor detects approximately 1 cm of water through the sealed enclosure wall using magnetic-field sensing, then uploads data to the cloud via Cat-M1 / NB-IoT cellular connectivity. Farmers can configure SMS or email alerts and use detection events to trigger compatible Farmo control units.
