General weather forecasts rarely account for the microclimates of a large property. The Farmo Weather Station is a professional, all-in-one sensor suite designed to give you the ground truth. It tracks rainfall (1mm increments), wind speed, wind direction, temperature, humidity, and Delta T in a single, rugged unit. Built for the Australian climate, this station requires no Wi-Fi, connecting via long-range NB-IoT/Cat-M1 cellular networks. With "Edge Processing" intelligence, the station monitors conditions every 10 minutes and transmits data to your Farmo App, ensuring you have the high-resolution data needed for professional farm management.

Installation is designed to be simple. The station comes as a pre-assembled suite that mounts directly to a standard pole or post in an open area. Once positioned and activated in the Farmo App, the internal sensors will begin logging data. The anemometer tracks wind, the tipping bucket measures rain, and the shielded internal sensors monitor the air. The device remains in a low-power state to conserve battery, waking up at 10-minute intervals to record data and transmit updates to your dashboard.

Materials Powder coated steel; outer shell is made from ASA which makes the surface easy to clean, and extremely resistant against the sun’s UV radiation, frost and heat.

Farmo devices are covered by a 12 month back-to-base warranty. After the standard warranty period expires we apply a pro-rata warranty up to 24 months.

Power must be supplied at all times or rainfall is not recorded. Keep clean and clear of buildings, trees and objects that could disturb the weather data collection.

Yes, as long as there’s mobile network coverage (Telstra by default) the device will work. Data is sent over the specialised long distance CatM1/Nb-IoT part of the 4G and 5G networks, so you will find coverage goes further than voice calls on handsets.

You can easily set custom "Weather Triggers" within the Farmo App for any variable, such as high wind speeds, frost-risk temperatures, or a specific amount of rainfall. Simply choose your threshold and select whether you and your team receive notifications via SMS, email, or both.

Like any precision instrument, a quick check-up is recommended regularly. Ensure the tipping bucket is clear of debris (leaves or spider webs). 

The Farmo App allows you to compare your rainfall against official long-term rainfall average records in your area. The Farmo App will find the nearest official weather station based on your device's location, giving you a reliable benchmark to measure your data against long-term trends.
