A drop in line pressure can result in uneven water distribution or indicate a major leak. The Farmo Water Pressure Sensor is a high-precision, industrial tool that monitors line pressure up to 1000 kPa. Built for Australian conditions, this rugged device provides high/low pressure alerts in real time via email or SMS. During normal operation, it reports every 4 hours (configurable), helping you detect leaks, monitor irrigation systems, and maintain optimal pressure levels for efficient water management.

Farmo technology is not intended to replace human oversight but can allow much more frequent monitoring and provide historical insights for analysis.

The sensor installs directly in-line on a pipe at a tee or nipple using a G1/4 thread, or with an adaptor/reducer if required. Once activated via the Farmo App, the sensor reads pressure levels every 15 minutes (configurable) and updates data in real time when high/low thresholds are crossed. Data is also updated at regular intervals (configurable) when readings are within normal levels.

Yes, as long as there’s mobile network coverage (Telstra by default) the device will work. Data is sent over the specialised long distance CatM1/Nb-IoT part of the 4G and 5G networks, so you will find coverage goes further than voice calls on handsets.

The sensor is installed with a standard G1/4 thread. You can use adaptors or reducers if required to fit into your existing plumbing.

The data is updated in real-time if the water pressure goes below low pressure threshold. If the level is not changing and remains within your set parameters, it will update at a configurable set period (4 hours by default).

You can configure alerts in the Farmo App by choosing whether to receive SMS and/or email notifications, and by setting which phone numbers or email addresses should get them. Automated phone call alerts are also available on request.
