Monitoring remote water tanks is a time-intensive task that often leads to discovering problems only when it's too late. The Farmo Water Level Monitor is a robust sensor designed to improve the guesswork. By using a hydrostatic sensor submerged at the bottom of your water source, it delivers accurate, real-time depth measurements directly to your phone. Use the Farmo App to monitor usage trends, detect leaks early, and ensure your system is always performing at its peak.

Farmo technology is not intended to replace human oversight but can allow much more frequent monitoring and provide historical insights for analysis.

Simply mount the sensor unit to the top of your tank and drop the sensor into the water. The sensor measures the water pressure, which is then converted into a depth reading and reported back as a measurement. Once activated via the Farmo App, the device transmits level data at regular intervals, triggering immediate "Low Level" notifications to your smartphone the moment your reserves drop below your custom-set threshold.

FAQs

The monitor uses a high-precision stainless steel hydrostatic pressure sensor. You simply drop the weighted probe into your tank, and it measures the pressure of the water column above it. The device then converts that pressure into an accurate depth reading, which is sent to your Farmo App.

No.  The unit has a pre-installed NB-IoT/Cat-M1 SIM card. It operates on the same long-range cellular towers used by your mobile phone but with much better penetration through tank walls and over hills. If you have even a basic mobile signal at the tank site, the device will connect.

While the device typically reports status updates every few hours to save battery, it features "Edge Processing" intelligence. It "wakes up" every 15 minutes to check the level. If it detects a "Rapid Fall" (e.g., a drop of 15cm in 15 minutes) or hits your custom "Low" or “High” thresholds, it bypasses the schedule and sends an instant data update.

The battery will last +2 years. Battery status is displayed on the App and when required a new battery can be ordered from Farmo and installed by the customer.

The Farmo Tank sensors have alerted me to broken off trough floats and I've lost a whole tank of water. You get the text message that the tank level is low and you look at the graph and you can tell there's a serious issue somewhere. I just put the four in to test out the system. I’m really happy with it, so I’m planning on expanding it.
