Are you still spending too much time and money checking your tanks manually? The Famo Fuel Tank Monitor provides precision tracking for fuel storage, giving you real-time visibility into your inventory. Receive instant alerts for low levels or unusual drops, ensuring you never run dry during seeding or harvest, and helping you detect theft or leaks immediately.
Managing fuel is a constant balancing act between overhead costs and operational readiness, especially with the rising fuel costs. The Farmo Fuel Tank Level Monitor replaces the manual dipstick with a high-precision, hydrostatic sensor. This unit is self-contained and battery-powered, using long-range NB-IoT/Cat-M1 connectivity to work across the property without needing Wi-Fi. The sensor samples fuel levels every 15 minutes and reports every 8 hours (configurable). If it detects a ‘rapid fall’, indicating a potential leak, an open tank, or fuel theft, it bypasses its standard reporting and sends an immediate alert via email or SMS.

There must be an opening in the top of the fuel tank to facilitate the installation of the sensor. The sensor probe is lowered into the tank, while the transmitter unit is mounted externally. A 2" Y-strainer is fitted before shipment to allow easy installation on site. The sensor measures the fuel pressure, which is then converted into a depth reading and reported back as a measurement. Once activated via the Farmo App, the device transmits level data at regular intervals, triggering immediate "Rapid Fall" notifications to your smartphone the moment your reserves drop below your custom-set threshold (15cm in 15 minutes by default).
Farmo devices are covered by a 12 month back-to-base warranty. After the standard warranty period expires we apply a pro-rata warranty up to 24 months.
Keep the white enclosure clear of fuel spills
Stop driving from tank to tank to measure your fuel reserves. Check your exact fuel levels in centimeters and percentages right from your phone.
Fuel is an expensive asset. Get an immediate "Rapid Fall" alert if fuel levels drop unexpectedly overnight or during the off-season, allowing you to catch theft or a leaking valve in real-time.
Manage fuel across multiple sites or out-blocks without the travel. See exactly which tanks need a top-up and plan your fuel truck's route for maximum efficiency.
No technicians or complex wiring. Simply mount the level monitor to the top of your tank using the included steel bracket and drop the weighted pressure probe to the bottom.
See your current fuel levels in a single, unified feed. Quickly identify which tanks are full and which are dropping, allowing you to plan your day’s run with maximum efficiency.
Don't wait hours to find out you've lost fuel. The device recognises a sudden drop in level and triggers a rapid fall alert the moment it happens, providing a critical layer of security.
Track your fuel burn over time. Use historical data to reconcile your fuel invoices, monitor consumption during peak periods, and plan your budget for the next season.
It uses a hydrostatic sensor placed at or near the bottom of the tank. The sensor measures the water pressure, which is then converted into a depth reading and reported back as a measurement.
No. The unit has a pre-installed NB-IoT/Cat-M1 SIM card. It operates on the same long-range cellular towers used by your mobile phone but with much better penetration through tank walls and over hills. If you have even a basic mobile signal at the tank site, the device will connect.
While the device typically reports status updates every 8 hours to save battery, it features "Edge Processing" intelligence. It "wakes up" every 15 minutes to check the level. If it detects a "Rapid Fall" (e.g., a drop of 15cm in 15 minutes) or hits your custom "Low" or “High” thresholds, it bypasses the schedule and sends an instant data update.
The battery will last 1+ years. Battery status is displayed on the App and when required, a new battery can be ordered from Farmo and installed by the customer.
