The RAK7249 Outdoor 4G Gateway provides LoRaWAN coverage and transmits the data sent from your sensors to your dashboards for visualisation.
You will need a data SIM card or be in range of Wi-Fi coverage and 240V power nearby the installation site. The bracket included allows for secure mounting on a pole. The higher you can position your gateway the better coverage distance you will achieve.
By default the gateway is configured to work on The Things Network public access servers, which is a free access service but does not include any service level agreements (SLAs). There are alternative service providers that charge a fee for restricted access and guaranteed support and these will be more suitable for some end users. The gateway can be configured either way.
Farmo will provide free support with remote monitoring, and firmware upgrades for the first 12 months, after which you can decide to purchase a support package or maintain it independently.
The gateway can be configured at AU915 or AS923 as required.
